Mothers Touch

Being loved unconditionally is probably one of the biggest high's in life and one such feeling is that of being a mother. It was just the other day when naina was born and now here she is standing tall all of 3. In her own way she lets me know what i mean to her and its just amazing the clarity with which she expresses her feelings.
The other day i went out for a girl's day out and with Andy traveling most of the time , i took naina along. I picked her up from day care and off we went with my help. Stop after stop picking up the team, naina kept saying " Mumma i want to go home, please lets go home and at that time the strict mother was at her best ..so all is said was " Naina you need to listen to ma, and so please behave yourself and be a good girl". Tantrum knows no time or place :) does it?? however the evening was ok , we hogged, naina played.

On the way back naina refused to settle into anyone Else's lap, she wanted my lap and with me driving it was impossible. She usually settles for Andy's lap but today was different .As her eye's fought sleep and her eyelids finally gave up she climbed on to the seat rest next to mine( drivers seat) and just put her head on my shoulders, i kept driving without saying a word, all it took was a min for her to be blissfully sleeping. She didn't care about the posture she was in , didn't care about time, food, she cared about nothing ...all she wanted was Me.
Something inside me pained for have not being able to understand her all evening ...Her momma's touch is all my princess wanted . Just a touch literally.

That day has been with me ever since and made me realise the value i hold in the life of my 3 year old and it taught me love unconditionally all over again....... something i guess we all forget as we grow older.
